This is a very complete web page, it explains very clearly what a model is, what kind of models there are, what they do, what do they look like and what characteristics a model has to have in order to be successful. This page really helped me, when I was starting with my blog and didn't know much about models. This page only shows the good side of being model, and when reading it made me want to learn more about models and this career.

It is a great place to learn about the roots of this polemic career, it gave me a better understandment on how all of this started, it also makes me think about how things have changed and how difficult this career has become. In this article you can find the history of this topic in a fun and interesting way, without having to read much.

Also it gives background information that makes the topic easy to understand even when you don't know much about it.

This article explains what was that happened to this girls and what the fashion industry says about it. It also explains that as time goes on, runway models are getting skinnier at the point where people in the audience of the fashion shows can count the model's ribs. Allure magazine editor, Linda Wells said "There were moments during the shows when I could hear gasps in the audience at their appearance. What becomes alarming is when you see bones and start counting ribs"

Now I think of them like prisoners of people's caprices, but it made me realize that people are not interested on runway models as they were some years ago, now they prefer Hollywood stars to be the ones who appear on the magazine's covers.

This is an interesting article on how thin models (many of them with eating disorders) are having effects on young girls, but it also gives details about what the world is doing to prevent young girls of becoming anorexic or bulimic. For example in Madrid models that were under the healthy weight were banned, because most of the young girls are not satisfied with their body figure, because the established body figure is runway model like! I liked this article because it is reliable and shows current events on the Fashion Model topic.
